Researchers of the Eurasian sector of the Higher School of Economics Nadezhda Tinnikova and Maria Shilina took part in the XII International Conference of the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) “Eurasian Integration”, which took place on October 31, 2017 in Moscow.
The conference was attended by the heads of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), national companies, representatives of international financial institutions, academic and business communities of EDB member states, foreign scholars and experts. The participants focused on relevant aspects of integration processes evolving in the Eurasian space in the area of finance, investment, infrastructure, foreign economic and humanitarian cooperation.
The plenary session was attended by Dmitry Pankin, Board Chairman, EDB; Tigran Sarkisyan, Chairman, Eurasian Economic Commission Board; Aleksey Kudrin, Board Chairman, Center for Strategic Research; Natalia Korzhova, President, Financial Academy under the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan; and Ksenia Yudayeva, First Deputy Board Chairman, Central Bank of the Russian Federation.
Participants of discussion panels examined issues related to creation of a single humanitarian Eurasian space, challenges and prospects of economic development, role of international development banks in infrastructural projects, etc.
A number of documents dealing with expansion of joint activities in the area of power engineering and education were also signed at the conference.
