HSE founded the first ever chair on Eurasian economic integration

October 27, 2017 the Higher School of Economics (HSE) in Moscow offcially announced the start of strategic cooperation with the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), the main supranatational governing body of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).

As part of this initiative HSE has founded the first ever academic chair on Eurasian economic integration – the Eurasian sector of the HSE Centre for Complex European and International Studies. Yuri Kofner has been announced as the head of the sector.

The HSE CCEIS Eurasian sector has four main activities: resarch, education,  events and informational exchange. For example, the Eurasian sector and the EEC are currently organizing a joint lectures course. And the launch of the first ever masters programme on “Eurasian Economic Integration” is planned for 2019.
